  Pre-Arrival & Orientation Information » Parking

Parking is available on the street and in designated parking lots. There is no parking fee; however, you are required to register your car with security as soon as you arrive on campus. Security is located in the basement of Pearsons Hall.

Parking on the street is governed by the City of Beloit parking ordinances. Vehicles that are not parked properly will be ticketed by the City of Beloit.

An alternate overnight parking ordinance requires parking on the even numbered sides of the street on even numbered calendar days, and parking on the odd numbered sides of the street on odd numbered calendar days. This is always the case unless otherwise posted by official traffic signs. Further details about this ordinance are provided in your student handbook.

Enforcement hours for alternate overnight parking are from 12:00 midnight. to 7:00 a.m. Your parking should be in accordance with the hours of enforcement. Example: You park your vehicle on Sept. 1 at 7:00 p.m. until class the next day. You should park on the even numbered side of the street as enforcement will occur after midnight (next day’s date), which would be Sept. 2. You also need to remember that some months have 31 days in them. If you park your car on the 31st, you need to park on the odd side of the street because the next day is the 1st, another odd numbered day.

Parking in fire lanes, anywhere the curbs are painted yellow, or areas designated “No Parking” by signs is prohibited.
